Example Programmes
Management Essentials
Programme length: Equivalent to 5 Days
This entry level modular management programme is for those aspiring to become new leaders, those who are in first line management roles as well as those who have little or no prior formal management training. The content stimulates participants to take personal responsibility for their own development and to take ownership of day-to-day challenges and problems.
Throughout the programme participants consider their own behaviours, beliefs as well as learn new skills and knowledge to manage teams and individuals effectively.
There are 5 modules within this programme; each module is just 1 days’ duration and can be delivered as a one-week programme or, preferably over several months to allow learning to embed progressively. Run over a longer term this allows for assignments to be allocated between modules to support the transfer of learning.

Emerging Leaders
Programme length: Equivalent to 8 Days (ILM Approved)
This comprehensive and versatile programme is for those with first or middle line management responsibilities aspiring to take more senior roles. The content provides opportunities for participants to reflect on and develop their own behaviours, beliefs and skills, and to become truly effective as modern leaders. The use of interactive and experiential learning predominates and is underpinned by new as well as established theories and models.
It is an ILM recognised and approved modular programme comprised of a series of four 2-day or eight 1-day modules. Each module is led by experienced management and leadership specialists hand-picked for their excellence in facilitated learning. Online and telephone support is available to all attendees.

Introduction to Management
Programme length: Equivalent to 1 Day
This 1-day programme is suitable for anyone in or heading for a management or team-leader role. It will develop their understanding of management and leadership, and help them to acquire important interpersonal skills necessary to be effective in those roles.
The content is delivered to provide a fast-paced, stimulating and highly interactive learning experience. This practical programme looks specifically at the difference between leadership and management, as well as the role of the manager. This foundation level overview aims to improve confidence and skills, enhance self-awareness and introduce a select number of essential theories and models.
Most importantly the programme links the ‘what to do’ with ‘how to do it’ so that the learning can be applied immediately in role.
Attendance provides grounding for those who will attend the more extensive and in-depth courses such as Management Essentials and Emerging Leaders programmes.
Mastering Leadership
Programme length: Equivalent to 6 Days (Flexible), ILM Approved
Mastering Leadership is designed to deliver knowledge and skills required in senior leadership roles in ambitious organisations. It is a Master’s level programme, recognised by ILM as a Leadership Development Award.
The content builds upon self-awareness of leaders to create a strong understanding of the connection between participant’s thinking and behaviours, and the performance they inspire in others. We look at all areas of self-concept, personality and help participants understand their own motivations, strengths and development needs, as well as those of their team. We explore how to set meaningful performance objectives, how to flex their leadership style according to the needs of each situation and individual.
These elements come together through group learning and executive 1-2-1 coaching to enable participants to become influential and highly-effective, modern leaders.
While this outline is based on existing learning interventions it is readily amended to meet the needs of your organisation. These training modules include:

Strategic Leadership
Programme length: Equivalent to 2 Days
This professional and versatile programme is aimed at senior managers, who are preparing for additional strategic responsibilities. It is designed to be flexible and to also accommodate different functions and roles. Attendance does not require previous formal leadership or management training.
The content offers a broad spectrum of practical skills and theoretical models, and case studies. Time is given during to enable delegates to relate the learning directly to their individual roles.
Content is dynamic, inspiring and interactive, with minimum lecture and maximum interaction between delegate groups. It takes delegates through proven business modules, that will ground them throughout their process of creating and implementing strategic organisational change.
RightTrack can adapt content, emphasis and duration following an initial consultation to ensure clear objectives are achieved. The leadership programme is often aligned with a programme of executive coaching to maximise ROI.
The training programme is facilitated using a range of learning methods including; facilitator input, learning activities, shared group learning and business case studies. It splits strategic models into five distinct categories, which gives clarity to the strategic process: Change, Organisational Structure, Planning Tools, Leading Change and Communicating the Strategy.
Managing Virtual Teams
Programme length: Flexible to suit
Understanding management and leadership skills is important for anyone who wants to be a successful manager of people. Nowhere is this more important than when the team is geographically dispersed or operates in a virtual environment. It throws up very different day to day challenges from a management perspective.
This practical training programme is designed to build on existing management skills and experience but focus on providing solutions for the specific challenges of managing remote teams, or individuals in a virtual organisational structure.
The programme is facilitated as an interactive workshop designed to explore appropriate subjects relevant to your organisation and management team. It is enhanced and supported by the facilitator using underpinning management theories and models when necessary.
Inclusive Leadership
Programme length: Flexible to suit
Do you want to build an organisation where leaders develop an approach that is about valuing each team member’s uniqueness, recognising them for what they bring to the table and helping them to stand out from the crowd?
Inclusive Leadership empowers leaders to maximise the full benefit from all of their workforce, with an increased focus on culture, relationships and decision making at each level of the organisation. Inclusive leadership is not so much a destination but rather a continuous journey.
This programme has been developed to take your manager on the first steps of this journey and to help them become role models for Inclusive Leadership behaviour. It can be customised to include sector or issue specific case studies and media clips to enhance learning for your managers.
This workshop can further benefit from the use of drama ensuring it will be highly engaging and impactful. Through clever script writing that stimulates emotion, penetrates the long-term memory and creates a lasting change, a team of professional actors will roleplay specific scenarios to bring-to-life real situations in the workplace when Inclusive Leadership is, and isn’t used.
Coaching Skills for Managers
Programme length: Equivalent to 1 day
Coaching team members is an important part of the role of most modern managers. This interactive programme focuses on the skills and behaviours used in cognitive coaching, a versatile tool to use in the development of individuals and teams.
It is a practical and fast-moving programme that promotes coaching as the foundation to build a learning culture in your organisation.
The learning is covered in one jam-packed day through a series of interactive experiential learning activities. There is an optional half-day session which focuses on practice and receiving one-to-one feedback. The aim is to ensure that everyone leaves the programme with ability to confidently carry out coaching sessions.
Due to the participative nature and one-to-one feedback delegate numbers are restricted to 9.
Performance Management
Programme length: Equivalent to 2 Days, ILM Approved
In many businesses, managers and employees can be heard complaining about existing time consuming and often irrelevant Performance Management (PM) processes.
RightTrack is at the forefront of a wave of change on this subject, recognising cultural and societal factors are compelling organisations to rethink performance management. During the training programme, we work with business managers to reconcile these new methods and thinking with existing processes to boost the effectiveness of performance management.
This two-day programme looks at how to remove bureaucracy from PM systems to fit within modern organisational cultures, how to align personal and organisational objectives but keep them rapidly flexible. Performance interview techniques are covered and the place of coaching and mentoring in meeting the needs of today’s workforce. It can be delivered as a standalone programme or as part of a larger modular management development initiative.
